ApeCoin APE | For The Web3 Economy
ApeCoin (APE) is the native cryptocurrency of the BAYC (Bored Ape Yacht Club) ecosystem. Serves as a decentralized open-source protocol layer for community-led initiatives to move toward a Web3 economy.
ApeCoin Token $APE is an ERC-20 governance token that allows holders to participate in the ApeCoin DAO. Also provides access to exclusive ecosystem games, merchandise, events, and services.
ApeCoin Supply – The total supply of ApeCoin is 1 billion tokens, which is permanently fixed. The contract interface does not allow the supply to be increased by minting, or decreased by burning tokens.
ApeCoin DAO – ApeCoin DAO allows for decentralized governing & management of the Ecosystem Fund by the ApeCoin community. DAO members can make decisions on fund allocations, governance rules, project initiatives, and more.
The APE Foundation – The APE Foundation is a legal entity that administers the decisions of the ApeCoin DAO, and serves as a base layer where holders in the ApeCoin DAO can build. Facilitates decentralized & community-led governance, and ensures decisions are implemented.
The Board – “The Board” is a special council elected by DAO members that provides oversight of the Foundation administrators. Administers proposals under ApeCoin DAO rules, and serves the mission of the community.
Yuga Labs – Yuga Labs is the web3 company that created the Bored Ape Yacht Club, and will be a community member in the ApeCoin DAO. New projects developed by Yuga Labs will use APE as the primary token.
